About Travis

Travis Pinz is a devoted husband, father of two, and has been a proud homeowner in Erie for the past 14 years. Raised in Longmont, Colorado, he graduated from St. Vrain Valley School District and earned a collegiate baseball scholarship, playing for two years while completing his degree in Kansas.

After returning to Colorado, Travis worked in electrical sales with organizations such as GE, Westinghouse, and QED. Seeking new challenges, he transitioned into the staffing industry and moved to Las Vegas, where he co-founded a low-voltage staffing firm. The business quickly grew to 35 employees, and after selling his share, Travis returned to Colorado to support his family after the loss of his grandmother and father.

In 2009, after several attempts, Travis convinced the woman of his dreams to go on a date. Their families, longtime Broncos season ticket holders, had attended games together since the 1980s. They soon married and bought a home in Erie, where they’ve lived ever since.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the family decided Travis would become a stay-at-home father while his wife’s healthcare career expanded. This experience led him to a journey of self-discovery and a renewed commitment to his community.

Now running for Town Council, Travis aims to help Erie grow and prosper by focusing on community-driven leadership and getting back to the basics. He’s eager to share his vision for the town’s future.
